Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
This policy explains how the Unisnacks B2B trade portal uses cookies and browser local storage. We have designed the portal to minimise the use of tracking technologies — we do not use analytics cookies or marketing cookies.
2. What we use instead of cookies
The portal primarily uses browser localStorage (not cookies) for its own operational state:
| Storage key | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| auth-token | Keeps you signed in between page loads | Strictly necessary |
| cart-storage | Persists your shopping cart contents | Strictly necessary |
localStorage data remains in your browser until you explicitly clear it or log out. It is never sent to our servers automatically (unlike cookies).
3. Cloudflare Turnstile
Our trade application form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. During the verification challenge, Turnstile may set a strictly-necessary token (cookie or local storage) to confirm you are a real user. This token:
- Is classified as strictly necessary (no consent required under UK GDPR / PECR).
- Is not used for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
- Is managed by Cloudflare — see their privacy policy for details.
4. No analytics or marketing cookies
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking scripts on this portal. There are no optional cookies to accept or reject.
5. Managing your browser storage
You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings (usually under “Site Data” or “Storage”). Note that clearing the auth token will sign you out, and clearing cart storage will empty your basket.
